Thivai's blog

Invitation

I would like to extend an invitation to you to join in on a collective blogging section of our upcoming winter issue of Reconstruction Here is the original call: Theories/Practices of Blogging Our intent in this section of the issue will be to collect a wide range of bloggers and link up to their statements in regards to why they blog (something many of us are asked) and any statement they have on the theories/practices of blogging. If you already have a post on this you can feel free to use it, or, if you are interested, you can submit a new one. We will link to each statement from the issue at our site, with the intent of creating a hyperlinked list of statements on blogging that can serve as an introduction to blogging (or an expansion of knowledge for those already blogging).

Attack on My Website and Against My Person--Need Help

Some anonymous posters started attacking someone I had never heard of before on my weblog.

I investigated the person and found he is a respected Physics professor at U of Illinois and he had written/presented about/on the proliferation of "diploma mills."  In retaliation the owners of these organizations have attempted to ruin him... I contacted Dr. Gollin and let him know what was going on (he is a good person and very courageous), attempted to refute the claims that were being made on my weblog, and attempted to take it to their domain (where I had noticed they were active  http://www.militaryforums.com/General_Military_C2/Military_Distance_Ed%20ucation_F8/  )

This is the post at my site that explains who Dr Gollin is and Why People are Attacking Him (and now me):

CFP: Theories/Practices of Blogging

I have been (and will continue) contacting some of you individually about writing something for this issue, but I thought I would throw out a general call to the PBA.

In addition to what is listed below we would like reviews of unique blogs for this issue (this will also become a regular part of the journal).  I'm also the review editor so feel free to contact me about this.

Feel free to contact me about any ideas you may have or further questions.
