New STD: Gonorrhea LectimThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of SexuallyTransmitted Disease.The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior.The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim and pronounced"gonna re-elect him."Many victims contracted it in 2004, after having been screwed for the past four years.Cognitive characteristics of individuals infected include: anti-social personality disorders, delusions of grandeur with messianic overtones, extreme cognitive dissonance, inability to incorporate new information, pronounced xenophobia and paranoia, inability to accept responsibility for own actions, cowardice masked by misplaced bravado, uncontrolled facial smirking, ignorance of geography and history, tendencies towards evangelical theocracy, categorical all-or-nothing behavior.

http://weirdwally.blogspot.comWhile gazing into his crystal ball the other night, Weird Wally saw New Orleans as the “New Salsa and Latin Music Capital of the World.”Although parts of New Orleans are buzzing with activity and commerce, in the poor and black sections of town, there is only silence and despair.In the French Quarter and other upscale sections of the city, construction and remodeling moves along at a brisk pace and most of the workers are undocumented workers from Latin America who plan on remaining in the area long after their work is done. Meanwhile, the blues, blacks and jazz people who brought us New Orleans culture are scattered in hundreds of cities throughout the country and left with nothing to return to.

The Attack on Christmas

Reading about the religious right’s latest tactic to keep our minds focused on the trivial and unimportant, they have come up with the term, “Attack on Christmas.” It’s an emotional non-issue, as far as Weird Wally is concerned.

But for the religious right it’s a bonanza!

Not only are their leaders collecting tons of money to defend against this imagined attack, it eats up newspaper ink and newscasts time so instead of talking about tax cuts for the rich, a questionable White House and dishonored Congress, we can all get weirded out, and fight about, Merry Christmas as opposed to Happy Holidays.

When all is said and done, the leaders will have gotten richer and they’ll be a lot more money that leaders will donate to the Republican Party and the campaign to get Judge Alito named to the Supreme Court. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

It’s kind of ironic, but while the trial for crimes against humanity of Saddam Hussein takes place in Iraq, a little light is being shed on the crimes against humanity by the Bush Administration.But even though this was supposed to be a shining moment for Bush’s Iraq War policies, it seems to be backfiring. Fact is, we’ve probably done more torture and human rights violations in our two years of occupying Iraq then Hussein could have accomplished during his entire lifetime.Instead of kidnapping and torture, the CIA calls it by a more polite term, “rendition.”And despite the liberation and democracy we brought to Iraq, life goes on and nothing seems to have changed except ownership of their oil (it’s now ours).***

While reading Alexander Cockburn online, Weird Wally started considering the possibility that both the White House and their largely Republican Congress had been set up by Democrats who used John Murtha as bait, just before appearing to cut and run.And if that were the case, it was a brilliant move because that gave the Republicans enough time and bravado to stick their feet in their mouths.Sometimes politics is even more exciting than football.
