The guy at Sears said the tent would sleep four comfortably. He was lying. But here we are; Alex, the beautiful five year old Ella, Annie and I all jammed together in a cloth box in a Texas ditch on a hot August morning. I wake up sweating and hear the sound of whispering a few feet away from the tent. I ponder the last few hours: did I sleep? For how long? Why do I feel this way even though I didn’t drink last night? And so dirty...

 

Last night I heard that Joan Baez was scheduled to sing at Camp Casey. They weren't sure exactly when, and there was some confusion seeing as Cindy had to fly back to be with her mom. But I am sure that Cindy would love for everyone to protest in her place. So don't hesitate to go to Crawford. Bring some food and helpful attitude and check your ego at the door please. Thanks! I don't know about everyone else...well I have a good suspicion that some will back me on this....but I'm fed up with genetically challenged monkeys in bad suits telling me what to think, what to look at, what to call American and what not to.

Therefore, I feel the only way to REALLY stop this war is to take it home to the people profiting from it. Namely GE + NBC.

The fact the NBC cancelled interviews with Cindy Sheehan is reason enough but there are oh so many more. The toxification of the Hudson River comes to mind.

Sure there are others like EXXON, but I'm sure another group will go after them.

So what are you gonna do about it you ask? Well how's this:

August 6, 2005 Briefly, I just got off of the telephone with Cindy at 10:58 PM (CST). She’s on the side of the road with six (6) other activists. They expect others to arrive from the VFP convention in Dallas to spend the night with them tonight. Cindy says that the SS says protesters will be killed if they stay the night. “We’re not letting them intimidate us. If we get killed out here, know that the Secret Service killed us.” She asks that we all light candles in solidarity and looks forward to more company in the days ahead. Folks, the time has come today! Peace out.

During the past 2 weeks I was recruited by several progressive activists and bloggers to create a new political forum and web site.

Many of our members are National Activists, many of them are Veterans who have served and continue to serve their nation with great valor. We are all committed to getting America out of Iraq, seeing to it that George Bush and Friends get locked up for a very very long time for fialing to live up to their responsibilites for the American People.

Gustav Klimt was one of the first Artists to combine an illustrative quality to his Fine Art paintings.  In his own time he was considered too racy and sensual.  History, however reveals him to be one of the best Artists of his time.  Along with the sensuality is an implied duality of oppressor and oppressed.  Not in all his works but in enough of them you will get a sense of the tension between the female and the male,  the garment and the attitude, the light and the shadow.

Was this a timely foreshadowing of future events, an awareness of how wealth corrupts, or are these imagined tensions brought in to the paintings by the viewer, in this case me?  Well, lets take a look.

In his later work, The Dancer you see a woman dancing in front of patrons, the patrons denoted by royal colors of purple and gold.  The Woman's face is smiling in a dim opiated manner but her dress screams her anger, exploding into the flowers in front of her and behind her, at having to dance for her supper.

Art Meat Blog is the name of the Free Art for Bloggers service I started.  Basically I am compiling all of my sketches, cartoons and doodles in one place for others to use on their blogs and posts.  Simply copy and paste the coding under any image you'd like to include.

Why?  Why did I do this?  Often times when I get onto sites like PBA or KOS I get overwhelmed by text and don't know where to even start reading.  I thought adding some color form and texture to the web wood be a good thing.

Hello, I'm new here, I didn't realize at first that anyone could join. So I'll be spending time learning all of the features.
