"Everyone is Afraid to Criticize Islam" Bush is having a hard time standing up for free speech, either at home or abroad. Dutch politician Ms. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, on the other hand, stands up for it even though her stance endangers her own life.

reading all these postings does not surprise me at all becuase this is nothing new for the muslims -- read the history you'll know what i'm talking about ... one advice for all those who are calling islam is a lie - evil - etc ... honest to yourself - have you even studied islam? ever? what do you know of islam? how do you judge something when you haven't a clue about it?? how do you differentiate something from other when you don't even know about the other? don't just quote peole and take their sides -- they all have their own agenda - you should have your own, too... remember one thing -- death is something no one can escape -- do you know what's going to happen to you after you die ... ?? not sure?? - well, even if you reject islam make sure you know why you reject it ... i highly recommend all of you to read the quran and it's meaning -- please. you have enough time to go to movies and time for hanging out with your buddies and time for reading fictional books -- please, make some time and read the quran -- once you know what it is -- then reject it if you want to -- please don't be biased - it will make more sense to you and all who you talk to ...

What you call the 'exercise of free speech' is better summarized as the ABUSE of free speech. Before making such naive statements find out who it was behind the Mohammed cartoons controversy and their motives.

What we are seeing today is a deliberate ploy to demonize and dehumanize the Islamic world for purely materialistic reasons. It is a new form of anti-semitism for which the Straussian 'neo-conservatives' are responsible.

Their next mission is to bomb Iran, using nuclear weapons. Not much to be said for western tolerance or free speech there, I'm afraid.

Is it asking too much of the naivety of some folks to get things into perspective?

My friend. Islam is a lie! It is worship of the moon god, the symbol  which is seen on top of each of their places of worship. Many within Islam don't even know why they worship. I have talked to many who were once muslims who admitt they where simply following what they were taught or told. Their hate for Jewish people is more then just hate. They want them dead. That is each and every nation of muslim people. They have all vowed to drive Israel into the sea along with anyone who supports her. Within the koran, they are told to killed the non believer if he can not be coverted. That is you and I and a lot of american and english speaking nation.

I see nothing wrong with defending ourselves against a religion that falsely claims peace.

In 2001 many Arab people cheered when Americans died in the towers. They did this because we defend Israel. The truth is God gave Israel the land. In the book of Number he told them to drive out all of who inhabit of the land, and that if they did not do as told, these inhabitances would be a thorn in their side. This is what is taking place over there. Israel failed to obey God. Because of this they been enslaved over and over. Taken from their land and now they have it back. Think of this. There is nothing there important. There is no oil, no gold, no jewels just desert. lots of sand with barren hills, but the valleys are wonderful.

This is the center civilization. Created by God. It is where the garden of Eden once sat. There will be fighting over this until the end.

All of what you are saying is wrong,First, we don't whorship the moon, The moon you see is just a symbol not more than that, we don't whorship the symbol, we whorship just one GOD, and we believe that he owns all of this world, and we coudn't see him.

Second, we don't hate Jewish people for just hate, because you must know there is a big difference between being a jewish and being israeli, we hate those who hurt us (as any on in the world) whatever his religion is. we hate the israelis because they hurted us a lot and till know after about 25 years form signing the peace argument in campdavid with isreal; they still have the dream of "great isreal from the Nile to Al-Furaht". Of course you hate muslims because the acts of some people like osama bin laden, but let me tell you that osama is understanding the islam in a wrong way, Our phrophet MOHAMED ordered us not to kill any woman, child, old people or those who are not soliders during war time, so what do you think during peace time.

Before you give the israelis the right to live in palestine and i don't know if you said this based on a reading from the "Torah" or from the "Talmud" or from your mind (as you said we worship the moon god, the symbol which is seen on top of each of their places of worship). The final point is about the cheering of the some of the arabs after 11th of september. Do you know that a lot of arabs died in this accident too?

finally, about 15 persons who done the 11th of september, but there are 1.5 billion muslims in the world. those 15 terrorists don't represent at all the whole muslims in the world. if the muslims are terrorists why Ahemd Zeweil still a prestegious scientist in the US, Has he admitted that those guys who made the 11th sep. are good people??

To hate the american government is to hate its people. You don't understand this country. We put them in office, so they vote and do as the majority would have them. I say cut all of the muslim who cheered on 9-11.
