trackback spam?

I believe we are getting trackback spam. I read on Drupal that there was a way to stop it, simply by turning off the ability for non-registered visitors to reply. This place might need some moderators, if there aren't some on board already.here is an example, look at the trackbacks here

Trackbacks aren't published by visitors

A trackback is added to the site by pinging a trackback URL, which is listed below every entry. The pinging happens off-site.

A solution would be to require that trackbacks be moderated (trackbacks are much rarer than comments, so the approval queue wouldn't take long to work through), or to allow the editing/moderating of trackbacks, like the editing of comments.

Some guy is writing a blog/diary about his http://www.oksextoys.com">penisenlargement odyssey. He is just taking some of those pills, and documenting his progress. It's an interesting start of something... I guess lacking any actual research about penis enlargement, maybe one guy's experiences will provide some kind of objectivity like this: "I noticed a "tingly" sensation in my penis when I got my first post-pill erection last night..." Pretty straightforward I guess. No vacuum pumps or anything to get real queasy about. Just a guy, trying for a mightier penis.

If there's a way for individual blog owners on this site to moderate their own trackbacks then it makes sense to turn that on. Initially, if this feature is announced to the members then folks can ask for this to be turned on on their PBAHQ accounts. If later we find this kind of spam on someone's blog then we could politely nudge them to have it turned on. If the problem persists then we may have to have this turned on for everyone.
